Recipe: Köttbullar (meatballs)

I collected this recipe from the Taste of Sweden event, transcribed below:
taken 16:15 18-01-2019 @ Taste of Sweden
INGREDIENTS:
  • 500g ground (minced) beef/pork mixture
  • 250ml (1.5 cup) milk
  • 75g (0.75 cup) white breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion (finely diced)
  • salt (to taste)
  • white pepper (to taste)
  • ground allspice
  • butter
METHOD:
  1. Gently saute the onion in a little butter without browning.
  2. Soak the breadcrumbs in milk
  3. Blend the ground meet (preferably with a food processor) with the onion, egg, milk/breadcrumb mixture and allspice to a reasonable consistency. (Add water to the mixture if it feels too firm)
  4. Check the taste by test frying one meatball
  5. Shape small meatballs using two spoons and place on water-rinsed plates
  6. Brown a generous pat of butter in a frying pan. When the butter "goes quiet" or stops sizzling, place the meatballs in the pan and let them brown on all sides. Shake the fry-pan often.
  7. Serve (usually with potato puree or boiled potatoes and lingonberry jam).
Serves 4 - 6.
