Sparta AF Bostader: Doing Laundry

Note: at Sparta you do not need to bring your own washing powder/detergent. Everything is already provided for you! The washing machines are pre-loaded with washing powder.

Tip: Make sure that you collect your laundry during the time you have your booking. If you delay collecting your laundry you will not be able to access the laundry room due to the booking system. 

BOOKING LAUNDRY SERVICES:

To access the laundry services at Sparta you first need to log into your account in order to book/reserve a machine to use. Once you log in you will see:

You can also access the "Book Laundry" page from underneath "Your Pages" like so: 

From then it's pretty self-explanatory: choose a date and then a particular time slot when you want to do your laundry. 

• The red dot in the calendar shows the day you have chosen to book your laundry
• The maroon circle = is the machine booked by you
• Th blue circle = are those machines available to book
• The grey circle = the machines are those you are unable to book 

Underneath the "Your Bookings" tab you can triple check that your booking has gone through and which machines you'll have access to at that particular time period! Simple. 

GETTING TO THE LAUNDRY ROOM:

The laundry at Sparta is located at 39A (basement level). To get there you need to exit the Sparta building and walk straight towards ICA. Before reaching ICA though, you'll see these set of stairs:

Take the stairs to the LEFT and continue walking down until you reach here:

Where the laundry sign (pictured below) is make a RIGHT turn. 

You'll come to this odd looking place with a car park on your right. Walk on the wooden path and then swipe you key on the scanner. You need to hold your key on the scanner until the light turns green - otherwise it can take a bit longer to "read" (30 seconds to 2 minutes).

WASHING:

And welcome to the laundry room! Note: the door will slam quite loud so just be prepared for that so you don't get a fright when someone else enters or exits :)

To make the machine  "work" you first need to take a look at the settings (pictured below)

 Kulort = coloured; Vitt = white 

To view what kind of washing cycle you would like, turn the grey nob. It doesn't matter which direction you turn it in. When you're satisfied with the settings, press the grey nob once (the screen will change to show you your final setting choice) and then press the grey nob again. Simple!

DRYING:

Refer back to the first picture of the laundry room. On the left of the green plant there is an entryway to where all the dryers are located. You do not need to "book" to use the dryers - it's free for all to use at your convenience. The dryers are similar to the washing machines to use: turn the grey nob for different settings and press once to start.

And last but not least, if your laundry cycle is quick there are laundry "comfy chairs" available for you to sit and chill on.
