Lund Explorer: Ostra Torn Suburbs

Fairy lights!

One thing I adore is going for aimless walks in an area I'm not familiar with. After staring at a screen for way too many hours today (reading and thinking about the material from Critical Animal Studies...) I decided to get out and move. I originally started walking towards Lund Centre, but somehow ended back up near Ostra Torn.

I found some funny-looking plants and a sliver of colour in the foliage hinting at the warming weather of spring that's coming :)

It's moments like these that I wish I was a botanist so I could identify these cool plants

I think my favourite part about going for aimless walks is the fact that you don't always know where you'll end up or what you could possibly see. I came across this children's playground in a cul-de-sac that took me by surprise in an almost haunted yet peaceful way. I think it's refreshing just being utterly alone, out in nature - but then stumbling across some sort of human cultural artefact.

The photos don't do the place justice - Skane, more specifically Lund, is a beautiful place to explore the suburbs.
