Food (Product) Review: Oumph! (Soy-Based Mock Meat: Garlic and Thyme Version)

Today's a meal prep day! I was pointed towards trying Oumph products - mock meats and pizzas - by one of my International Mentors. (She has the best recommendations for easy meals!) They're made of soy products and are completely vegan / plant based.

I tried the "chicken" thyme and garlic today! You can purchase these in ICA for SEK48.90/packet.

To Cook: is so, so simple. I was a bit nervous about trying it out and thinking of what else I'd need, but really the essentials are:
  1. Fry pan
  2. Oil (to coat the base of the pan, really you just wing it with any oil available)
  3. Oumph packet of your choice!

Sizzling away in the pan - the fragrances are unreal!
 All done :)
The finished product - with pita bread and baby spinach

My Side Dish:
Scrambled eggs (with salt), kale, champion mushrooms and 1/3 zucchini.

I would 10/10 recommend Oumph for people who are in need of a quick and easy main dish. It's vegan (so, ethical 110%), the texture is just like you'd expect from regular meat products and so is the flavouring. You don't need to worry about salmonella poisoning either, and it will keep well because plant-based products! Serve with bread or rice with your choice of veggies on the side :)
