Food Review: Lunch at Cafe Zeituna, Lund

Cafe Zeituna $$
This small food hub that advertises its "plenty of vegan options" was shown to me by a fellow vegan Swedish classmate from Critical Animal Studies. We got so wrapped up talking about the class material that I completely forgot to take photos of the decor, but there are cosy sofas and comfortable backed chairs to sit. There's an English menu posted on a wall and they serve desserts too - although the only vegan desserts were chocolate balls.

Address: 23, Kyrkogatan, 222 22 Lund
Opening Hours:
  • Monday, Wednesday - Saturday @ 10:00 - 19:15
  • Tuesday @ 11:00 - 19:15
  • Sunday: Closed
What I Ordered: broad bean stew - SEK79
Toasty warmed bread with a salty, spice bean stew, similar consistency to a dhal or lentil curry with a layer of olive-oil on top.

This was exactly the warming and filling pick-me-up I needed before I had to head to my next class! I really enjoyed the meal, it's the perfect thing for those brisk cold days out when you just want to wrap your soul in a huge blanket. Although I enjoyed it I probably wouldn't go back just because I think the food is a bit more generic (e.g., sandwiches, burgers, curries) than other places but it's a lovely restaurant nonetheless!

Edit: 28_03_2019 - visited again, took pictures of the decor and ordered the same dish AHAHA (it's one of two vegan options, the other being a hummus sandwich)
The Decor:

Came with pickled vegetables and warmed somun bread!
