View from upstairs! Cosy couch + small tables
I know I was only here yesterday, but yet another vegan Swedish friend invited me out to lunch! And while snooping around the place for the second time, I discovered that TrueFood only makes the vegan mac n cheese on Wednesdays, handy tip if you're seeking out a veganised version of the classic!
What I Ordered: Soup of the Day (Mushroom) with Bread and Hummus (SEK79)
This option was delicious! I love a good mushroom soup. Although the soup appeared quite small and the bread not entirely filling, this is what you want to order if you're in the mood for a warming, savoury meal with just the right amount of room for dessert :)
Soooooooooooo good
Close up: mushroom soup
Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the hummus pot, it's a small but generous enough portion of dip for you to have leftovers.
Dessert: Vegan Semla (soy cream)
Now I love semla, it's hands down my favourite Swedish sweet treat, and I'm so excited to have been able to try a veganised version that had soy cream instead of coconut! Sometimes I feel as though coconut is included in everything vegan and after a while it just gets too overpowering. But this was delicious! The spiced almond paste was a bit strong in this version (and it looks albeit very "home made" compared to other bakeries) there's no way you can go wrong with such a delicious treat!
