VegoVision (Malmö)

The Entrance: VegoVision, run by Djurens Rätt (Animal Rights)

VegoVision is hands down one of this year's highlights! It's basically an event gathering vegan people (+ supporters!) en masse who assemble in this huge indoor space where there are a ton of food-sampling stands, live cooking demonstrations and food lectures. 2019 is the first time VegoVision has come to Malmö, but it's been running in Stockholm for 10 years and Gothenburg for 5. You basically just go around the place and eat free food surrounded by wonderful vegan things for as long as you want. And take lots of photos, of course! There is so much beautiful vegan merchandise - from tote bags, shoes, apparel, books even real tattoos available to be done!

This year's VegoVision featured celebrity vegan chef Mattias Kristiansson who gave lectures, cooking demonstrations and even did a book signing too!! He's an incredibly cool chef, activist and writer - check out more of his work here!

Note: unfortunately the cooking demonstrations and lectures are held in Swedish, although everyone t at the stands speaks impeccable English.

Tickets: SEK120 (I got mine for free from a friend though)
Time: 10:00 - 18:00
Family Friendly? YES - there's a children's area where there's a couple of large craft tables and plenty of toilets. The accessibility for prams and wheelchairs isn't a problem at all either.

Information point

There was so much more to see than the small snapshot of food that I'm putting here: I was waiting outside at 10:00 and left Malmö at 16:30 and didn't take as many photos of other products simply because you just get overwhelmed and distracted by everything (in the happiest way possible!)

VegoVision ticket! Hand these to the staff while queuing or at the Entrance
