Dates: 9 June - 12 June
Accommodation: STF Af Chapman & Skeppsholmen Vandrarhem (tbh wouldn't recommend - it's overpriced for the facilities you get, I stayed in a mixed 16-dorm bedroom. I would go for an AirBnB next time!)
The easiest way to get to Stockholm is via train: you can catch a direct train from Lund C to Centralen Stockholm, which takes roughly 4 hours. The best way of purchasing tickets is through SJ - they also have an app similar to Skanetrafiken which gives you your travel details like carriage and seat number.
My Itinerary:
Day 1: Gamla Stan Area (tourist shopping street central!)
- National Stockholm Cathedral
- Riddharholmen + Church (royal burial church, built as a Franciscan monastery for the Grey-Brother monks int he 13th Century)
- Nobel Museum
- Royal Palace
- Kopmangatan, the oldest street in Stockholm
- Pedestrian Shopping Zone: Drottninggatan
Day 2: Drottningholm Palace
- Walk to Stadshuskajen (City Hall Quay) and catch the ferry into Drottningholm Palace
- Spend the day exploring the Palace interior and Gardens!
The most famous room of Drottningholm: the State Bedchamber
Drottningholm Palace: staircase! <3 It's phenomenal to take in!
Drottningholm Palace: the most beautiful library in Sweden
Of course, the famous Baroque Gardens of Drottningholm Palace!
