The Decor:
Honestly there's not too much to say, it's a small shop with a cosy atmosphere and the decor suits what they're about. Making your way to some of the tables is a bit difficult because it's a bit squishy, but other than that it's warm and the lighting is good haha. There's one very clean and well-kept uni-sex toilet at the back.
Grab n go station directly to the left of the entrance plus tea selections

Table decor: real flowers, card with information about catering

The Menu: (English Version!)

What I Ordered: "Raw Combo" SEK175
A selection of items from our menu. Green soup, protein burger, pad thai salad and seed crackers.
Here it is! So the actual meal looked smaller than an anticipated given the price, but I kind of went with it because really it's kind of expected when you rock up to a specialty vegan place anyway. The proof of the pudding would be whether I felt full at the end! (And of course, the taste haha).

Let's start from the left: Pad Thai Salad
Red and white cabbage, carrots, broccoli, kelp noodles, fresh coriander and mint. Tossed in a creamy peanut sauce. Topped with apples, tamari roasted peanuts, sprouts and pickled onion
(By itself it costs SEK110).

Protein Burger:
Patty made with cashews, beetroots, mushrooms, carrot and cabbage. Served with salad and a brazil nut - aioli, turnip chips and seed cracker. By itself it costs SEK129.
(From what I can make out of my poor quality photo due to the lighting - cashew based soup with green peas, spring onion and leek. Topped with sprouts, carrots and black sesame seeds. Served with salad and onion bread topped with a cashew spread. By itself, it costs SEK110.

I wouldn't usually order a combo plate just because I have this inkling that the combo plates are the ones where you get ripped off, but after reading through the menu and all the ingredients, I just thought - might as well! It all sounds good!

Well... I admit, Raw Food House is certainly creative. The effort they must put into curating quite a diverse and interesting menu is definitely admirable. I think the experience has also taught me something about myself: I'm not a raw food person, disclaimer before you read on.

I enjoyed eating the pad thai, although it got a bit spicy for me personally nearing the end. Definitely top up on cucumber water from their self-serve counter. The flavour was a classic but standard peanut sauce combo but I enjoyed the texture of the noodles.

The burger was disappointing - I was really keen for their patty but it just... wasn't... my thing, I guess! The patty itself didn't crumble and held together well, but the rest of it - all the trimmings and other aspects of it fell apart and it was difficult to eat the whole thing and try to enjoy the flavours. I can't really describe what it tasted like... only... that I didn't like it... so on one hand, it's lucky I ordered the combo so I wasn't stuck ploughing my way through a large burger I didn't like, but I wouldn't have ordered the burger in the first place so maybe that's a moot point. Oh well.

The soup was probably my favourite element of the meal (oh yeah, I couldn't really taste the cracker but it was nice and savoury but a little sweet at the same time? due to the spices in the pad thai). It surprised me both in terms of flavour and colour - it's strong, slightly spices and rich. It tastes exactly like the sauce of a creamy, coconut curry. Looking over the ingredients list I reckon it's incredible that the flavour could emerge the way it did.

Unfortunately though, cold food just isn't my thing - I always prefer heat-hot pad thai and hot soup is a definitely must, no matter what weather. I did enjoy the experience but probably won't return for mains/food not because it's "bad" per se, but because it's just not my thing.

Plus Dessert: "Strawberry Cheesecake" SEK59
HOWEVER: to cheer myself up I decided to just go ahead and get dessert too since they just look so inviting over the counter. YES. GET DESSERT HERE. The strawberry cheesecake did wonders and made me so happy. While it looks dense and decadently sweet, it's not like that at all!

Imagine the texture of mousse but a bit harder and maybe slightly springier, and that's the texture of the cake. It's light, not fluffy but not dense either. In terms of flavour, it's not sweet at all - you can taste sweetness, but it's more the berry flavour that comes through, like eating fruit (but I daresay better). I would highly recommend their desserts! Would come back for this :)
