Who doesn't crave some ice-cream during "Fool's Spring" season? It's March and I've successfully made my way through 3 tubs of Oatly ice-cream... without stopping to think of giving it a review. It's the cheapest vegan ice-cream available at ICA (or in Sweden more broadly I can safely say...) and it's good. I feel like I use the word "good" bit too often. Maybe something more descriptive, like "punchy, creamy, flavourful, rich, guilt-free"?
Flavours: available in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry at ICA Tuna
The Verdict: Hands down this is the best ice-cream!! Chocolate flavour and fluffy/creamy texture-wise, it beats soy-based ice-cream I reviewed earlier. The chocolate taste is just right, not overwhelmingly strong (so if you want a level up of chocolate-y-ness you're better off with the Vegan Magnum, but they're expensive so...) and it's just. Perfection. I'm an Oatly-convert, all the way!
Love the "100% vegan" branding - in English!
I love Oatly marketing! Every time I open a tub I get a little excited at what kind of label I'll get to read or look at. Oatly Nerd, incoming!
Enough suspense! Here's the inside ~
Doesn't it just look delectable?
