Folkkök also collaborate with Food Savers Malmö and with a bakery whom donate ingredients and produce that otherwise would go towards landfill. You can join the food saving group at the event too!

The event is run by Folkkök, a "vegan/freegan donation-based dinner that celebrates community through food! Everyone and anyone are welcome to come and help out in the way they can, by saving food, decorating the table, preparing a dish, holding a workshop or cleaning up afterwards. The event/s are made and shaped by the people who participate." The goal of Folkkök is to "be sustaiable and together, find ways to waste as little as possible." [Quotes sourced from their Facebook event page]
The main co-creating work space!
Folkkök also run workshops and activities based on the knowledge from the people who come to the events. They previously ran a workshop on avocado-seed carving to make cool necklaces! They welcome any ideas of craft, dancing, jam-session, talk, concert or whatever else! "You don't have to be an expert to teach, we share what we know and learn together as we go" is their philosophy, which is just lovely!
Guestbook for recipes, sign-up sheets and donation box!

The table layout for brunch! Delightful with the fairy lights and plants ~ <3
How does Sunday Brunch work? You have three options to participate:
- Bring food already prepared and ready to serve
- Bring ingredients to prepare food in the kitchen with other participants
- Help out in any way you can! Cleaning, help with cooking, table set up, etc.!
The main "buffet table" - where everyone puts their food!
My plate: tzaziki, roasted bell pepper, mushroom rice stir-fry, pear pancake, Turkish bread, muhammara, bean and lentil mash, carrot and chocolate cake
Summary: Sunday Brunch is fun! It's a bit difficult to take that step to just go into a public space full of strangers, but everyone speaks English and when you sit down to eat the conversation just flows and everyone's quite friendly too. Would definitely recommend and keep going, it was great!
