It's quiet in the corridor and quiet in Lund! About half of my corridor-mates have travelled "back home" for the Easter long-weekend, whether that be just over the way in Helsingborg or north in Uppsala. Probably the most packed place I've seen over Good Friday is the Botanical Gardens - which is fair to say because it's just so lovely out (a nice 18 C, sun's out and it's emitting both light and heat!)
Ahh ~ back in Malmö! Seriously underrated.
I wanted to visit this super cute indie-hipster shop called Pill and Punch which is located in this indie-hipster shopping arcade area called Mitt Möllan - they sell quirky jewellery, art prints, iron-on patches and animal-themed kitchenware) but unfortunately it wasn't open. Neither was the Malmö Chocolate Factory (Malmö Chokladfabrik) that's only about a 5 minute walk away.
Only slightly devastated, I decided to head back up towards the Central Station - and passed by Raw Food House again - which was open! So being me, I dropped in (for the bathroom haha) and for some fika - I present the lime cheesecake! (SEK59) They set up tables outside in the sun which - I took full advantage of the outdoor seating and spent time basking in the sun and reading the news ^_^
Life Pro-Tip: Head to Triangeln Shopping Mall for your everyday needs - I stocked up on underwear from Lindex (they have a 3 for 2 special going on right now!) and lip balm. While ACO (I use their body moisturiser, you can buy it from any Apoteket) doesn't use animal testing and majority of their products are vegan, their lip balms contain some beeswax which is a no-go from me. Instead, I headed to Lyko: they stock a range of fashion/beauty products (hair accessories, brushes, makeup, etc.), and more importantly, Hurraw vegan lip-balm (unscented at SEK49 and flavoured at SEK59).
Thoroughly shopped out, I finished up at Malmö Saluhall where I stopped by to grab a bite before heading home - the whole arcade was open, but unfortunately they only have limited vegan options. I settled for På Ris Poke Bar - and picked a seat at the booth. Their single vegan option is called "Tofu Hot", priced at SEK115.
Påris Poke Bar
My order - sushi rice topped with red cabbage, scallions, pineapple, cucumber, edamame beans, tofu (dipped with spicy kimchi sauce), sesame seeds and avocado.
This isn't a food review post, but in summary: I ordered food because I was hungry (as one does), but it wasn't good - like there's a lot of food, the ingredients are fresh but honestly the flavours just aren't there and in my opinion this would be fairly easy to replicate at home way cheaper.
And that was my day out in Malmö! <3
