[Long] Vegan Barcelona!

This is just a post dedicated to the phenomenal vegan food scene in Barcelona - I travelled here to speak at the 6th European Association of Critical Animal Studies Conference, which ran from the 22 - 24 May 2019 and stayed a few days extra to soak in Spain!

Pan con tomate €3.20 (toasted bread with olive oil, tomatoes and Himalayan salt - served with this garlic aoili type spread? Delicious! It's a Barcelonian staple)

Teriyaki shiitake and tofu nuggets served with salad, €6.50

For vegan ice-cream, hit up Gocce di Latte, it's only a 1 minute walk away from the Vegetalia I visited.

 "My Japanese vegan girlfriend" bowl - although the title is problematic, the meal was delicious! "Pulled pork" jackfruit served with black rice, red quinoa and a plant-based egg (SO LEGIT) topped with carrot, tomato, edamame beans, spinach and coriander. €13.50

Vegan "oyster" - made from shiitake mushrooms, "caviar" from seaweed. Served with bubble "sea foam" water - which tasted exactly like the sea! €3.50
