I've taken a bit of a break writing about life in Lund - and taking full advantage of European summer I've done some travelling and collated my favourite food and eatery experiences here! :) I'll be doing several posts from each of the different cities I've visited documenting my favourite vegan food haunts. First stop, Prague!
Etnosvět $$$
Address: Legerova 1832/40, 120 00 Nové Město
What I Ordered: (everything vegan)
Cactus Tea with Cranberries CZK70 |
Fried Spring Rolls with Mock Peking Duck CZK220 |
"Japanese Plate" - soba noodles, miso sauce, sweet potato puree, crispy tofu, azuki beans CZK305 |
Chocolate and Mango Mousse CZK165 |
Food Review/Summary: for the quality of food you get from this restaurant, the prices are well worth it. Etnosvět completely blew my expectations out of the water - the food was so delightful and the service (vegan server who gave several recommendations for other great vegan places, and no tipping required) made my first experience in Prague one of the best. Coming to Etnosvět is a must!
(Also, great clean toilet available)
Forrest Bistro and Espresso Bar $$
Address: Londýnská 216/35, 120 00 Vinohrady

Lunch bistro menu: combo soup + meal = CZK155
Lunch: creamy celery soup |
Soba noodles with tofu, eggplant and chard |
Vietnamese Pho, CZK135 |
Pandan Cake with Soy Cream, CZK75 |
You get mint water free of charge too. Nice and clean toilet.
Belze Pub: $$
Belze Burger CZK176 |
Wow. I don't know what they did to make a burger this good but holy lord - it was amazing. The vegan patty and vegan cheese tasted so real I honestly couldn't believe it was vegan! The only downside to this place is that they only take cash, but I could pay in Euros.
"No fish and Chips" with vegan mayo |
Strawberry smoothie: berries, cashews, dates - it was such a delicious smoothie! |
